Problem – One of the more common M5R1 transmission problems has to do with the CPP switch / clutch pedal position switch. This issue is often accompanied by drivability issues and a P0704 DTC.
Solution – The M5OD-R1 transmission / M5R1 transmission CPP switch connector has either become damaged, there’s a short in the circuit, or the PCM/ECU has failed.
