P0717 – Input/Turbine Speed Sensor No Signal – This trouble code is generated when the PCM does not get a signal from the input speed sensor, which will prevent the computer from being able to determine when the transmission needs to shift.
P0791 – Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor ‘A’ Circuit – This error can occur when there is a problem with the intermediate shaft speed sensor, most likely due to a bad sensor, wiring problem, or a failed shift solenoid.
P0793 – Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor Circuit No Signal – The computer will generate this DTC when it cannot communicate with the intermediate shaft speed sensor.

Speed gear sensor not turning porperly
My Rodeo wont shift into a highway gear, I can get it up to 40 mph but its revving at 3000 rpm. I cant find any codes or transmission light. It seems to shift earlier through the first 3 gears but works fine otherwise, until I try to get to highway speed over 35 or 40. Linkage is ok, fluid is clean and full. If its a solenoid wouldn’t that set a code? or maybe I need a more complete code scanner?

Response is slow first starting off.. Eventually gets moving. It also ‘slips’ occasionally starting out in first.. I can see a problem coming with this transmission in my near future!!
I have a 2000 Isuzu Rodeo. It goes in reverse just fine but when put in Drive you must push winter button in order for it to engage in gear and when you come to a stop you have to push winter button again have replaced 5 solenoids in transmission and still have same issue I’m totally lost

T/A light came on and lost my forward gears, rebuilt the tans and 14 miles after driving it the excact same problem occurred. The shop rebuilt it a second time and the after about 16 miles of driving same problem occurs AGAIN, no forward gears. Although, “winter mode” will work to put car in gear but kicks off when stopped. What is going on
was told it is the solenoids in the transmission (replace all 5) cost around !$100 for the solenoids…..many videos to explain…..
it wasn’t the solenoids……..still refusing to move unless you press the “Winter Mode” button on the console…….frustrated …..can drive ….have to remember to press the winter mode button and go up no hills…..grrrr
