I’m writing this review to share my harrowing experience with Car Part Planet in the hope that it will serve as a cautionary tale for potential customers. My encounter with them has been nothing short of a nightmare.

I placed an order with Car Part Planet on 11/26/23, and what followed was a series of broken promises, unexplained delays, and an absolute lack of accountability. Despite promptly providing all required verifications, including my passport, photos, and bank statements, they consistently failed to meet their initially promised delivery times.

To make matters worse, after weeks of delays, the company informed me that the part wouldn’t be ready until 02/15/24. It became clear that they never had the part in stock and were merely playing games.

Efforts to cancel the order and obtain a refund have been met with significant challenges. The lack of communication has not only caused severe financial strain but has also disrupted my business operations.

The company’s customer service is abysmal. Emails go unanswered, and reaching key contacts, like Charles in accounting, has proven to be nearly impossible. The apparent indifference to customer concerns is shocking and unacceptable.

My purpose in sharing this review is to caution potential buyers. Based on my experience, I strongly discourage anyone from engaging in transactions with Car Part Planet. Their unreliability, lack of professionalism, and disregard for customer satisfaction have left me in an unfortunate and regrettable situation.

Ordered 1st transmission from them on 1/9/23.. received said transmission on 1/21/23.. Not even 100 miles on so called remaned transmission and throws out a P741 code. File claim on 1/23/23.. Received 2nd so called remaned transmission (which I had to pick up myself die to the carrier they use being incompetent and not able to read or follow directions given) on 2/22/23… Now as of today 2/26/23 with 300 miles on 2nd “remanded” transmission same issue as the first a P0741 code..Unfortunately 1st transmission has yet to be picked up, inspected and reimbursed as per their warranty

Customer service is terrible. Very little communication cept when I call or email repeatedly. Advertised delivery for motor, 2-4 weeks. More like 2 1/2 months. After 4 weeks, I had to contact them for details. Took two weeks for a legitimate response from a human being. After delivery It took me three weeks and a whole mind full of aggravation to track my motor down due to poor communication from them. Turns out they delivered to the wrong person who does not speak English. Cost me $1500 for vehicle rental due to crappy turn around time. They also provided the wrong gaskets for install.
These guys are great at what they do!
side note…Charlie was very nice.

Trying to work with this company was really, really rough. They have the usual “enter the VIN of the car you are trying to put this in” box, but no way to indicate that you know what you are doing and actually know part X will work for your application. So you are guaranteed to have to jump through a bunch of extra hoops, regardless of what disclaimer boxes they have you check.

In my case, this means they put in a single phone call, didn’t get me (they claim wrong phone number) and cancelled the order. They had my email, no emails were sent. I didn’t know they had unilaterally decided I was stupid and cancelled the order until it didn’t show up, and I went digging in my spare time.

The worst is this, though: they send a review form asking for reviews, which after realizing that they had screwed me over I was really eager to use. Once my negative review was up, though, they tried to abuse the flag system of the review site (trust pilot) to get the review taken down, despite knowing it was a legitimate complaint.

So that’s what you can expect; if there’s a problem or something they want to verify, they will give up after a really minimal effort and just not fulfill the order. They don’t care if you know about it. And if you complain about it in reviews, they will do a really dishonest thing and try to remove the review from the internet instead of actually fixing the problem.

Don’t order from them. We ordered a transmission and they told us 2 weeks. They said they had a core there and once the order is placed they begin to put it together. 2 weeks arrived and no transmission. We called and the customer service keeps transferring your calls and then you get hung up on. When we finally got through they told us another 2 weeks. Then the customer service guy lied and said he told us things that are absolutely not true. We finally got through to them after multiple calls and messages (they never returned any of our calls). They told us 2 more weeks. So a total of 6 weeks and no transmission, as my car is sitting at the shop waiting for a transmission. I was paying for a rental the whole time. We asked for a refund and they did honor that part. That was the best thing they did and the best decision we made. I was looking online and found out that they have. F rating with the BBB. I advise others to use caution and do your research!
