2010 Avenger, Transmission Replacement Cost Reasonable?

So, i just bought a 2010 dodge avenger in august 2014, i have driven it for about 10,000 miles and it started to skip and slip while changing gears. After coming out of a stop the first gear will slip hard and not catch leaving my car to R itself out to 3500 and not go back down. So i dropped it off at a transmission place close in town that was recommended by a close friend, the guy one the phone said it would be a day to look at it and he’ll get back to me. When he called back the news was that the transmission is shot and had internal problems, and that he think’s that the trans should be replaced by a rebuilt one with a 100,000 mile warranty for the “honest” price of $ 3650.00 mind you (the car has 77,000 miles about and its nearly 5 years old). Does this seem reasonable or am i being jipped?
